How do I make a social media content plan?

The short answer

A content plan starts from your customers' questions and objections before they buy, not from holidays and occasions. Set three to five fixed content pillars, spread them across the month in different formats, and measure what brings customers closer to buying, not the number of likes.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Know your customer

What do they ask before buying? What are they worried about? What makes them compare you with a competitor?

  2. 2

    Set your pillars

For example: introducing the product, proving results, answering questions, behind the scenes, and offers.

  3. 3

    Choose your formats

Short videos, carousels, stories and customer testimonials, depending on each platform.

  4. 4

    Build a calendar

A fixed number of posts each week that you can keep up, with filming and design scheduled in advance.

  5. 5

    Review monthly

Which content brought messages, visits and sales? Repeat what worked and improve what did not.

A common mistake

Posting every day without pillars wears out the team and does not build a clear image. Sticking to a few pillars is stronger.
