All HR questions
How is the end-of-service award calculated for expatriates in Oman?

In two stages. Service before 26 July 2023 follows the previous Labor Law, 15 days' wage for each of the first three years and 30 days after that, and service after it earns a full month for each year under the current Labor Law, on basic wage.

Is the award system for expatriates changing?

Yes. The Social Protection Law provides a savings scheme in which the employer pays a monthly contribution instead of the award, and its application has been postponed to July 2027 as announced.
